Day 2: Mekong Delta Magic & Cu Chi Tunnels – History Comes Alive

Get ready for one of the most memorable days of your trip! After a hearty breakfast, we’re heading to the legendary Mekong Delta – that incredible maze of rivers, swamps, and islands that’s the lifeblood of southern Vietnam. In My Tho, you’ll hop aboard a traditional wooden boat and cruise through winding waterways, feeling the cool river breeze on your face as you glide past Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise Islands. You’ll visit local bee farms where you can taste fresh honey, watch how coconut candy is made by hand, and enjoy freshly picked tropical fruits offered by the friendliest farmers you’ll ever meet. It’s not just a tour – it’s a window into how real Vietnamese people live, work, and thrive along these ancient rivers.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there! In the afternoon, we’re taking you underground – literally – to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. These aren’t just any tunnels; they’re an incredible 200-kilometer network hand-dug by Vietnamese guerrillas during the war. You’ll get to crawl through sections of these narrow passages, see hidden trapdoors and living quarters, and truly understand the resilience and ingenuity of the Vietnamese people. Day 3: Flying to Paradise – Phu Quoc Island & Grand World Awaits

Today’s the day you’ve been waiting for – we’re heading to Phu Quoc Island! After breakfast and checking out, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your morning flight. As your plane descends toward Phu Quoc, look out the window and prepare to have your breath taken away – the water is so impossibly blue and clear, you’ll think someone turned up the saturation on real life. Upon landing, our driver will greet you and take you to your beautiful hotel where you can settle in and maybe take a quick dip in the pool.

But the day is far from over! This afternoon, you’re in for a treat at Grand World – they call it the “sleepless city,” and once you see it, you’ll understand why. Imagine walking through a place that feels like you’ve stepped into multiple countries at once, with 23 different themed areas, each more stunning than the last. After dinner, you’ll experience the spectacular “Charm of Venice” show – a mesmerizing performance of lights, water, and music that’ll leave you absolutely spellbound. You’ll also catch a traditional puppet show that showcases Vietnamese culture in the most delightful way. As you head back to your hotel tonight, you’ll realize – this is just day three, and it’s already been incredible.

Day 4: VinWonders & Safari – Theme Park Thrills Meet Wild Encounters

Hold onto your hats because today is going to be absolutely wild – and we mean that literally! After breakfast, we’re taking you to VinWonders Land Phu Quoc, and this isn’t your average amusement park. Picture this: cutting-edge 3D and 5D cinema experiences, roller coasters that’ll make your stomach drop in the best way possible, disk coasters, swing carousels, and an incredible water park where you can cool off and have a blast. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or prefer the gentler rides, there’s something here that’ll put a huge smile on your face. We’ll stop for a delicious buffet lunch right in the park, so you can refuel and keep the fun going.

But wait – the afternoon gets even better! We’re heading to VinPearl Safari, Vietnam’s first and only open zoo, and it’s nothing like those sad concrete zoos you might have seen before. Spread across 380 hectares, this place is massive, beautiful, and home to 150 species of rare animals from all over the world. In the Safari Park, you’ll ride through areas where animals roam freely, just like they would in the wild. You might see zebras, giraffes, rhinos, and exotic birds – all living their best lives in natural habitats. The Open Zoo section lets you get even closer to some amazing creatures. By the end of today, you’ll be tired (in the best way), happy, and probably with hundreds of photos on your phone. Dinner tonight is at an Indian restaurant, because we know comfort food hits different after a long day of adventure.

Day 5: Island Hopping Paradise – Snorkeling, Beaches & Cable Car Dreams

This is it – the day every beach lover dreams about! After breakfast, we’re picking you up and heading to An Thoi harbor where a boat is waiting to take you on an island-hopping adventure through southern Phu Quoc’s most beautiful islands. First stop: Xuong Island (also called Gam Ghi Island), where the water is so crystal-clear it’s like swimming in a giant aquarium. You’ll snorkel among untouched coral reefs, surrounded by colorful tropical fish that aren’t afraid of humans. It’s like being in a real-life nature documentary, except you’re the star!

After working up an appetite underwater, we’ll serve you a delicious lunch right on the boat while you soak in those stunning ocean views. Next up is May Rut Trong Island – your personal slice of paradise for the afternoon. Swim in that impossibly blue water, sunbathe on soft white sand, grab a drink from the Beach Bar, or just lie on a sunbed and wonder why you ever lived anywhere else. Feeling active? There are plenty of beach activities to try, or you can simply take a million photos because this place is Instagram gold.

But here’s where the day goes from amazing to absolutely unforgettable: Aquatopia Water Park on Thom Island! With over 20 modern water attractions and six themed adventure zones, you’ll feel like a kid again, laughing and splashing without a care in the world. And for the grand finale? You’ll board the Hon Thom Cable Car for a breathtaking 25-minute ride high above the turquoise sea. From 174 meters up, you’ll have panoramic views of the islands below that’ll make you catch your breath. As the cable car glides smoothly through the air, you’ll have that moment – you know the one – where you think, “I can’t believe this is my life right now.” After this incredible experience, we’ll bring you back to your hotel where you can rest those happy, tired legs.

Day 6: Southern Wonders – Cable Car, Sunset Town & The Famous Kiss Bridge

After breakfast, we’re taking you on a journey to Phu Quoc’s stunning south – a region that’s become famous for all the right reasons. First up is another ride on the Hon Thom Cable Car, but this time you’ll experience it in daylight and truly appreciate why it holds the world record for the longest 3-wire sea-crossing cable car on the planet. As you soar 174 meters above the sparkling blue sea, watching islands drift by below, you’ll understand why people come from all over the world just for this view. It’s not just a cable car ride – it’s a sky-high meditation session where the only sound is your own awe.

This afternoon, we’re heading to Sunset Town, and let me tell you – this place is pure magic. Also known as the “Mediterranean Town” of Phu Quoc, it’s like someone took the most beautiful parts of Europe and Mediterranean cities and created a stunning coastal paradise. You’ll walk past recreations of the Arc de Triomphe, explore Pompeii-inspired ruins, and stand in awe of a beautiful Colosseum replica. Every corner is more photogenic than the last, and you’ll definitely want to charge your phone before we go!

And then there’s the Kiss Bridge – Phu Quoc’s newest iconic landmark that’s become a symbol of Vietnamese tourism. This 800-meter architectural marvel features two branches that come together from the north and south, separated by just 30 centimeters – the perfect distance for a hug, a handshake, or a romantic kiss. But here’s the really cool part: on January 1st every year, the setting sun aligns perfectly in that narrow gap between the bridge tips, creating one of the most spectacular sunset views in the world. Even if you’re not there on New Year’s Day, watching the sun set from this bridge is an experience you’ll remember forever. After dinner, as you head back to the hotel, you’ll probably find yourself already planning when you can come back to Phu Quoc.

Day 7: Back to Ho Chi Minh City – Urban Exploration & Historical Insights

All good things must come to an end, but today’s not about being sad – it’s about making the most of your final full day in Vietnam! After breakfast and checking out of your Phu Quoc hotel, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your late-morning flight back to Ho Chi Minh City. As you fly over the islands one last time, take a moment to soak it all in – those turquoise waters, those pristine beaches, those incredible memories you’ve made.

Landing back in Ho Chi Minh City, our guide will pick you up and take you straight into the heart of the city for an afternoon of cultural exploration. First stop: the War Remnants Museum, a powerful and moving experience that’ll give you deep insights into Vietnam’s history and the resilience of its people. It’s heavy stuff, but important to understand, and our guide will help provide context throughout. Next, you’ll visit the Reunification Palace – the former administrative center and official residence of South Vietnam’s President. Walking through these halls where history was made is like stepping back in time.

Then it’s on to two of Ho Chi Minh City’s most iconic landmarks: the stunning Notre Dame Cathedral with its distinctive red brick architecture (imported brick by brick from France!), and the beautiful General Post Office, a colonial-era building that’s still fully functioning today. These buildings are gorgeous examples of French colonial architecture and make for incredible photos. After a fulfilling day of history and culture, you’ll enjoy dinner before heading to your hotel for your final night in Vietnam. Tonight, take a moment to reflect on everything you’ve experienced – the people you’ve met, the places you’ve seen, the adventures you’ve had. This trip has changed you, even if just a little bit.

Maybe take a final walk around the neighborhood, grab some last-minute gifts for family and friends, or just sit at a café and watch the world go by, Vietnamese-style. Soak in those final moments of this beautiful country.

FAQ's

Absolutely! This tour is specifically designed with first-timers in mind. We understand that traveling to a new country, especially for the first time, can feel overwhelming – all the planning, the language barriers, the fear of getting lost or missing out on the best experiences. That’s exactly why we’ve created this package. From the moment you land until you board your flight home, we’re with you every step of the way. Our English-speaking guides know how to make you feel comfortable, our drivers are reliable and friendly, and the itinerary is perfectly paced so you’re never rushed but never bored. We’ve done all the hard work of figuring out the logistics, booking the best activities, and planning the perfect route so you can just relax and enjoy your adventure. Plus, we include Indian restaurant meals throughout the trip because we know that familiar comfort food can make all the difference when you’re far from home. Think of us as your knowledgeable friend who’s showing you around Vietnam – we’ve got your back!

The best time to visit Vietnam and Phu Quoc is during the dry season from November to April, when the weather is absolutely perfect – sunny skies, minimal rain, and comfortable temperatures ideal for beaches and outdoor activities. December to March is peak season, which means the weather is at its absolute best, but hotels and flights can be pricier and more crowded. If you’re looking for a sweet spot, consider traveling in November or April when the weather is still fantastic but you’ll find better deals and fewer tourists. That said, we recommend booking at least 2-3 months in advance, regardless of when you plan to travel. This gives us time to secure the best hotel rates, confirm your preferred flight times, and ensure everything is perfectly arranged for your arrival. Early booking also means you’ll have more time to prepare mentally and get excited about your trip! Plus, international flights and accommodations tend to increase in price as the departure date gets closer, so booking early can save you money.

Yes! We’ve carefully selected comfortable 3-star hotels that offer excellent value and a great experience for travelers. In Phu Quoc, you’ll stay at Boulevard Hotel in a Superior room, which features modern amenities, comfortable beds, air conditioning, and is conveniently located near beaches and attractions. In Ho Chi Minh City, we’ve booked you at Nicecy Bui Thi Xuan Hotel in a Superior Double room, which is centrally located so you’re close to all the action but in a quiet enough area to rest well after your adventures. All accommodations include daily buffet breakfast, WiFi, and basic amenities like toiletries and towels. These aren’t luxury 5-star resorts, but they’re clean, comfortable, welcoming, and perfect for travelers who want to spend their days exploring rather than just sitting in a hotel room. The rooms are air-conditioned (super important in Vietnam’s tropical climate!), the staff is friendly and helpful, and you’ll sleep comfortably after each day’s adventures. If you prefer to upgrade to 4-star or 5-star hotels, we can absolutely arrange that – just let us know and we’ll provide you with upgrade options and pricing!

Great question! Since most of your major expenses are already covered in the package (hotels, transportation, entrance fees, many meals), you’ll mainly need spending money for drinks during meals, souvenirs, snacks, personal shopping, and any additional activities you might want to try on your free time. We recommend budgeting around $20-30 USD per person per day for comfortable spending. This covers things like buying bottled water or soft drinks during meals, getting that beautiful silk scarf or Vietnamese coffee you fall in love with, maybe trying street food during your free time, or grabbing an extra cocktail at sunset. Vietnam is relatively affordable compared to Western countries, so your money will go further than you might expect! Also, don’t forget to budget for the compulsory tips ($5 per person per day), which goes to your guides and drivers who work hard to make your trip special. Credit cards are accepted at many shops and restaurants in tourist areas, but we highly recommend carrying some cash (US dollars or Vietnamese Dong) for smaller purchases, local markets, and street vendors. ATMs are widely available in Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc if you need to withdraw more cash during your trip.

We’ve designed this itinerary to strike the perfect balance between exciting activities and relaxation time. Yes, there’s a lot to see and do (because Vietnam and Phu Quoc have so much to offer!), but we’ve intentionally built in rest periods and paced the days thoughtfully so you never feel rushed or exhausted. Most mornings start at a reasonable time after breakfast – no crazy 5 AM wake-up calls! The activities themselves vary in intensity: some days are more adventurous (like the island hopping and VinWonders day), while others are more leisurely (like the Mekong Delta cruise and beach time). You’ll also have free time in the evenings after dinner to relax at your hotel, take a swim in the pool, or explore the local area at your own pace. On Day 1 and Day 8, you have significant free time to decompress and adjust. The group tour on Day 5 is with other travelers, which means you can sit back and let someone else handle the logistics while you just enjoy the experience. Think of this trip as “active relaxation” – you’re doing things and seeing places, but never in a way that feels stressful or overwhelming. And if you ever feel tired, just let your guide know – we’re flexible and can adjust the pace to match your energy level!

Absolutely, and we take this very seriously! We know that food can make or break a trip, and we want you to eat well and feel comfortable throughout your journey. When you book with us, we’ll ask about any dietary requirements, food allergies, or preferences you have – whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, have religious dietary restrictions, or simply don’t like certain foods. Vietnamese cuisine actually has tons of vegetarian options because of the country’s Buddhist influence, so vegetarians will be more than satisfied with the variety available. We’ve also included meals at Indian restaurants throughout the trip specifically because we understand that sometimes you just need that familiar taste of home, especially when you’re traveling for the first time. These restaurants can accommodate various dietary needs and preferences. For the meals included in your package (marked as B/L/D in the itinerary), our guides will communicate your dietary requirements to the restaurants in advance. For meals on your own during free time, your guide can recommend specific restaurants that cater to your needs. Vietnamese food is incredibly flavorful and diverse – from fresh spring rolls to pho to tropical fruits – and we want you to enjoy every bite!

This tour is designed to be accessible for most fitness levels, including older adults, families with children, and people who aren’t super athletic. The activities are varied in intensity, and nothing requires extreme physical fitness. That said, there is some walking involved (exploring tunnels, walking through parks and towns), and you’ll be in and out of boats and vehicles. The Cu Chi Tunnels involve crawling through narrow spaces, but there are wider sections available, and it’s completely optional – you can see the tunnels without going inside if you prefer. The island hopping tour involves getting on and off boats, but the crew will assist you. The cable car rides are gentle and suitable for all ages. Most activities are done at a comfortable pace with plenty of breaks. If you have specific mobility concerns, knee problems, or health conditions, please let us know when booking so we can make appropriate arrangements or suggest modifications. We can arrange for more rest stops, slower-paced walks, or alternative activities if needed. The key is communication – tell us your concerns, and we’ll work with you to ensure you have a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience. Thousands of travelers of all ages and fitness levels have completed this tour successfully, and we’re confident you can too with the right preparations and expectations!

Yes, Vietnam is very safe for tourists and has become one of Southeast Asia’s most popular destinations for good reason! The Vietnamese people are incredibly welcoming and friendly toward visitors, and tourist areas are well-developed with good infrastructure. Violent crime against tourists is extremely rare. That said, like any destination, you should use common sense: keep your valuables secure, be aware of your surroundings, don’t flash expensive jewelry or large amounts of cash, and stick to well-lit areas at night. Petty theft like pickpocketing can occur in crowded tourist areas or busy markets, so keep your bag zipped and your phone secured. The biggest safety concern is actually traffic – Vietnamese traffic can seem chaotic if you’re not used to it, with lots of motorbikes everywhere! Our drivers are experienced and safe, and when you have free time, your guide will teach you how to cross streets safely (the trick is to walk slowly and steadily – seriously!). We also provide you with our emergency contact numbers, and your guide will have their phone with them at all times. Food safety is generally good at the restaurants we use, and we only take you to reputable establishments. Drink bottled water (which we provide), and avoid ice in drinks from street vendors. Overall, millions of tourists visit Vietnam every year without any problems, and with our team supporting you throughout your trip, you’ll be in very good hands!

Packing for Vietnam and Phu Quoc is pretty straightforward since the weather is warm year-round! Here’s what we recommend: Light, breathable clothing (cotton or moisture-wicking fabrics) like t-shirts, shorts, sundresses, and light pants. Vietnam can be hot and humid, so you’ll want clothes that keep you cool. Bring a light sweater or jacket for air-conditioned spaces (buses, restaurants, malls can be very cold inside!). Comfortable walking shoes are a must – you’ll be doing a fair amount of walking, so leave the brand-new shoes at home and bring ones you’ve already broken in. Flip-flops or sandals are great for the beach. Swimwear is essential (bring at least two sets so one can dry while you wear the other). Sun protection is critical: bring sunscreen (SPF 50+), sunglasses, and a hat or cap. A small daypack or backpack is useful for carrying water, sunscreen, and personal items during daily activities. Bring a reusable water bottle (we provide water, but having your own bottle is convenient). A light rain jacket or umbrella might come in handy. For the Cu Chi Tunnels, wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Bring any prescription medications you need, plus a basic first-aid kit with band-aids, pain relievers, and any stomach medications. Power adapter (Vietnam uses Type A, C, and D plugs). Your phone, camera, and chargers (and maybe a power bank for those long days out). Insect repellent for evenings. And don’t forget your passport, visa documents, travel insurance papers, and a copy of your itinerary! The hotels provide toiletries, but if you’re particular about your shampoo or skincare, bring your own. Pack light – you can always buy things there if you forget something!
